From 1987 to 1990, Robin Walker read Economics at the London School of Economics. In 1991 and 1992, he studied African World Studies with the brilliant Dr Femi Biko and later with Mr. Kenny Baikie. Between 1993 and 1994, he trained as a secondary school teacher at Edge Hill College (linked to the University of Lancaster).

​Since 1992, Robin has lectured in adult education, taught university short courses, and chaired conferences in Black History, Egyptology, African World Studies, and Entrepreneurship. In 2013, Powerful Media featured him among their 100 members of their annual Power List of Britain’s Most Influential Black People.
